HSRP-412
THE AUTHOR'S DETERMINATION (the author's position): the line has been crossed. The author sets the model of institutionalized necrophilia beside the research as a determinant condition. His argument: a government that claims to rule a people because they cannot rule themselves, citing their immorality, must draw from that same stock the individuals who decide how it acts; absent morality within the institution, and having embodied the necrophilia harbored in the individuals of the population, the government is in a position and on a trajectory to devolve, and has thus crossed the line. Texts set beside the argument, each established as a text: Jefferson's First Inaugural (1801), Plato's Republic VIII, Federalist No. 55, John Adams to the Massachusetts Militia (1798) and Polybius VI.9. Necrophilia is Erich Fromm's term for an orientation of character in a person (Fromm, "Creators and Destroyers", 1964); its application to institutions is this project's model, and none of the texts quoted establishes that model. Polybius's own caution is kept: the stage of decline can be read, the time cannot, so the page names no date. The duty that follows is stated as the author's: to act on that knowledge, righteously and by lawful means, under a judgment that belongs to God (Acts 5:29); Nuremberg Principle IV is cited as a parallel only. The site's rule stands beside it: this is a moral judgment and no defense in any court (United States v. Benabe).

3. What it rests on
-
Erich Fromm used "necrophilous" for an orientation in a person, the drive "to approach life mechanically, as if all living persons were things" [SRC-593].

Pinpoint: not recorded · Access: Access status not recordedVERIFIED AT SOURCE BY CONTENT 2026-09-22 from the complete essay published by the Literary Estate of Erich Fromm (fromm-online.org item 1964f-eng), extracted with pdftotext and probed on whitespace- and apostrophe-normalised text. THE SENTENCE THIS SITE RELIES ON, verbatim: "The necrophilous person is driven by the desire to transform the organic into the inorganic, to approach life mechanically, as if all living persons were things." It is on p. 22 — the essay's {23} page-change marker falls after it — and the same passage appears in The Heart of Man (1964) at p. 41. CORRECTS A CONFLATION CARRIED ELSEWHERE ON THIS SITE: the form "He approaches life mechanically and bureaucratically, as if all living persons were merely things" is NOT what Fromm wrote. It splices this sentence together with a different one about the biophilous person (who influences "not by force, by cutting things apart, by the bureaucratic manner of administering people as if they were things") and inserts the word "merely", which appears nowhere in the essay. See the HELD item in CLAUDE.md for the locations still carrying the conflated form. CONFLATION NOW CORRECTED AT SOURCE on all three pages (2026-09-22). On /crossmap-glossary the WHOLE quoted block was replaced, not only the conflated sentence: every fragment of it ("fascinated by all that is not alive", "sickness, death, burials, money, gadgets, and punishment", "prefers memory to understanding, having to being") was checked against this essay, The Anatomy of Human Destructiveness and The Sane Society on whitespace- and apostrophe-normalised text and NONE was verbatim in any of them. The entry was a paraphrase presented inside quotation marks; it now carries three consecutive verbatim sentences instead. ALSO CITED ON /evidence-of-the-breach, two pinpoints at PDF p. 2: "The necrophilous person is driven by the desire to transform the organic into the inorganic, to approach life mechanically, as if all living persons were things." and "He loves control, and in the act of controlling he kills life." BOTH VERIFIED AT SOURCE BY CONTENT 2026-10-03. REUSE ESTABLISHED 2026-10-03: the Block 3 brief expected a new record for this article; it was already here, and a second record would have re-split the work whose single-record status is the fix for the Fromm conflation recorded in CLAUDE.md. The page states that the term is Fromm's for a character in a person and that the institutional form is this project's model, not Fromm's. ALSO CITED ON /united-states, /national-security-notice and /natural-law from 2026-10-07 (Block 7, U35, U36, U37, U39). All four sentences had attributed the INSTITUTIONAL form of necrophilia to Fromm; each now says the word is Fromm's for a character in a person and that the institutional application is this project's model. That is the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh page-level repair of the conflation recorded in CLAUDE.md.
5. Counter-evidence
No counter-evidence is recorded in the register for this observation as of 2026-10-12. No search for counter-evidence has been recorded for this observation.
6. Why this grade
The argument for this grade has not yet been recorded for this observation.
The register defines AUTHOR'S POSITION as: A position the author holds and states as his own. It is not a research finding and it is not an evidence grade. The observation must say what ground the sources give it, and at what ladder grade.
